Kuveyt Türk and Architecht met with students in Kahramanmaraş with Software for the Future Project

Turkey's leading participation financial institution Kuveyt Türk and its technology subsidiary Architecht continue to bring Software for the Future project together with young people. Within the scope of the project, students experienced the excitement of producing and discovering with technology with the trainings held at Cumhuriyet and Yavuz Selim Secondary Schools in Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık, the epicenter of the February 6 earthquake.

Drawing attention with its products and services based on the principles of participation finance, Kuveyt Türk met with students from Kahramanmaraş within the scope of the Software for the Future project realized with its technology subsidiary Architecht. On May 21 at Cumhuriyet Secondary School and on May 22 at Yavuz Selim Secondary School, applied robotics and coding training was provided to secondary school students. The activities, which took place in these two schools, where more than 2,400 students received education in total, aimed to provide students with technical skills and to instill in them the motivation to produce technology.

Balçiçek: “We are raising generations that build the future with technology”

Speaking at the events organized in Kahramanmaraş, Ökkeş Emin Balçiçek, General Manager of Architecht, said: “We continue to meet curious explorers all around Turkey with the motto ‘We code the future of our dreams with our values’. Because we know that robotics and coding education is one of the basic building blocks of technology. And every child who is introduced to these skills gains the courage to shape not only technology but also the future. This project is not just an effort to establish a computer lab; it is an effort to support our children to grow up as technology-friendly, software-friendly and productive individuals. To date, we have established laboratories in 106 schools across Turkey and put 1,736 computers into the service of our students. In this way, together with our previous '1010 Explorers' project, we have contributed to the educational lives of approximately 78,500 students. Today, I am very happy to come together with the children in Kahramanmaraş and introduce our project to new students.”

About Software for the Future Project

Launched in 2018 with the concept of “Let's Code the Future with Our Values” and expanded as “Software for the Future” in 2023, the project aims to introduce students to technology at an early age by establishing computer laboratories in public schools across Turkey. To date, a total of 1,736 computers have been donated to 106 schools. While the project has indirectly reached 53,000 students, it is planned to establish laboratories in 30 new schools this year and introduce 20,000 more students to technology. The project also aims to reach 600 students directly and 15,000 students indirectly by providing “1010 Explorers” trainings in 30 schools where laboratories have already been established. The projects, which have been carried out for seven years with the understanding of “We code the future of our dreams with our values”, have so far contributed to the educational lives of 78,500 children across Turkey.
